LES USA-Canada Meeting/ International Delegates Meeting in Toronto, Canada
The LES USA Canada annual conference will be held in Toronto, Canada on October 14-19, 2012. The International Delegates Meeting will be held on October 17-19, 2012 also in Toronto, Canada, and will be attended by the new LESP delegates, Messrs. Rogelio Nicandro and Enrique Manuel.
IPR Week – October 23, 2012
To celebrate the IPR week, LES Philippines will hold a roundtable Discussion/forum with representatives from OPM, KAPPI and the Asosasyon ng Musikang Filipino to talk on displacement of local artists in view of several foreign acts coming into the Philippines.
Seminar-Workshop on the Valuation of Intellectual Property and Techniques on Licensing and Technology Transfer Arrangements - November 14-15, 2012
The DOST-TAPI has requested LES Philippines to provide resource speakers to speak at its “Seminar-Workshop on the Valuation of Intellectual Property and Techniques on Licensing and Technology Transfer Arrangements”. This will be held on November 14-15, 2012 at Cebu City.

Visit of the LES Japan delegation - November 18-21, 2012
LES Philippines will be preparing to host the LES Japan delegation on these days. The thirteen delegates from LES Japan will be arriving on the night of the 18th of November. The next day, LES Philippines will escort the delegates to the various governmental agencies involved in the Philippines intellectual property and licensing framework. On the 20th of November, LES Philippines will host a joint meeting with the delegates from LES Japan at the Dusit Thani Manila hotel.
Memorandum of Agreement with PCHRD
LES Philippines has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with PCHRD-DOST for the implementation of the project, “Intellectual Property and Technology Management Learning Series.” Under the project, LES Philippines will provide training modules and resource speakers for the conduct of capacity building seminars for the regional health research systems on IP and Technology management. The seminars will be conducted in eight (8) regional consortia from November 2012 to September 2013. Meanwhile, PCHRD will fund and monitor the implementation of the project.
